Well hello everyone …..
it’s another Japan trip hence another blog … but only because I know you love them … and I want to give the public what they want …. ❤️
It’s Sunday and I’m watching the US Grand Prix but looking at my suitcase in the corner of the room mentally going through the case hoping that I’ve packed everything ….. I’ve got a couple of hours tomorrow where I can do a last minute panic …. Scott has been packed since this morning and hasn’t thought about it again … wish I had the same conviction 😳
We are being picked up at 11am tomorrow and this will be out first time flying with Emirates and we are quite excited about being on these flight …. I mean there is a bar on board of our second flight ….. a bar 🍷🍾
Our schedule…..
- 14:15 Newcastle to Dubai
- 00:30 land in Dubai
- Play in Dubai airport lounge for a couple of hours
- 03:00 Dubai to Kansai
- Land in Kansai 17:15 (on the 21st)
So when we land it will be about 7am in the UK and we will have been on the go for more hours than I care to think about.
After getting through immigration and customs, we need to get our JR Passes and collect the mobile wi-fi …. Then hopefully get a train to Hiroshima. If all goes to plan, we will be at the apartment for about 10:30pm ish 🤞
Even though this is not our first trip - I still get just as excited as I did for our first trip …. The thrill of going to Japan has never faded - it is absolutely my happy place. We are doing a lot of different things this time. We will be in the Chugoku prefecture in western Japan .. so a new area for us to explore.
We will be seeing castles, gardens, submarines and bunnies along with what I assume will be sobering museums with a lot of history.
I’m sure I’ve got everything ready to go . . Passport, yen, train tickets oh and some clothes …. But will I sleep …
But - here is the kicker … I am currently in the Dubai business lounge waiting for our flight …. We were informed as we checked into the lounge that there was a 3 hour delay to the fight so now we don’t fly till 6am and will get into Kansai about 20:15 …. Bloody hell - it’s going to be after midnight by the time we get to the apartment …
This is all well and good but it’s 31 degrees here in Dubai at 2am …. I can’t stay here much longer or I’ll melt. Scott has booked himself a shower but I can’t be bothered to do that …. But guess what I did find tho …. And this is for Dad ….
No matter where you go in this world - there’s always a Costa 😜
Wednesday will be a very quiet day …..
